A round of applause...

Post by BasiliskWrangler »

A round of applause to our Alpha/Beta testers. I have never before had such an awesome group of testers committed to helping a game be as bug free as possible on launch. Even this late in development, they are putting lots of hours in and uncovering bugs that are being fixed.

Will Book 3 be "bugless" upon release? No- has any game ever been bug free on release? But these guys are catching a lot of issues so that your play experience will be more enjoyable.

I don't name names for reasons of privacy (testers are allowed to reveal themselves if they want) but I felt I needed to publicly state my appreciation for their efforts.

Too many game studios seem to just skip proper alpha/beta testing nowadays. I'm so happy that BasiliskGames is not one of those studios. Congratulations BasiliskWrangler and all the alpha/beta testers out there!
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk ?

Thanks guys - I have never really had the desire to be a beta tester, but I know there are those who do. Thanks for making this game a better experience for us, and thanks to BW for making this game for us!

I also wanted to thank everyone involved with this game, including the testers, and I look forward to its upcoming release. It is good to see that there are still developers who take the time necessary (even if it means slipping schedule) to create a good product and make sure it is properly tested. It may be impossible to eliminate every bug, but if the history of this series is any indication, it will have far fewer bugs and problems than the typical rushed release from one of the larger companies.

Only 5 days to go. I already know that BW has written another great game. And, if he thinks our somewhat anonymous testers have done a great job, we are going to have an awesome launch. Absolutely cannot wait for Friday to roll around. I've already cleared the decks for next weekend.

Agreed. Nothing makes me see red more than a game that has obviously not been thoroughly tested. I have literally thrown my computer across the room when I have encountered a bug that truly should have never been left in a release product.

You should get your issues figured out... That is way out of line for anyone over the age of 2
