Ok then how does one acquire the Crux of Wisdom? Where is it located?

[+] SPOILER
Karamiklan has it.
Karamiklan huffs, his breath scattering gold coins as if they were nothing more than grains of sand. "Ah, the fourth Crux stone. The missing link. The puzzle piece that everyone seems to be killing each other for." The beast reaches down into the pile of gold just below his chin, dragging his claws back-and-forth through the shimmering coins. After a few seemingly random passes, he pinches his claws together and pulls from the coins a gleaming, blue gemstone. "This is what you seek. It is called 'Ubiquity', but you may refer to it as 'The Crux of Wisdom'. I have had it all along."
The trick is getting him to give it to you.

Which is the question I should have asked... Now this is assuming you continued the main quest without visiting (or at least exploring) Mirkland. Now, I am pretty sure Erubor wouldn't have advanced the main quest until you found the Crux of Terra.

Technically you don't need the quest advancements. You can rush through to the pass, break through his back door, kill them all, and you're free to go into the lair.

...or run past the gate in parry mode. Considering someone has won the game in 1.7 hours, I don't think they stopped to fight.

That's true. Technically though, they did have 99 kills, and I'm guessing that there's no where near that many that you're required to kill to complete the game, so they must have stopped in some places to fight for there lives.

You need to kill 2 sentinel stalks in the Akadai Underground, a dartflinger, and one fetid grubb.

I guess depending upon if you have dense nimbus and some luck avoiding goblins you don't have to kill too many to get the two of the widgets.

I don't know the minimum number you have to kill at the end to keep your side winning.

From my experience, wandering away from the battlefield being useless, I think the side you choose wins no matter what; regardless of if you help or not.

"My" side only won when I engaged in combat, though I did not deal much damage compared to the overall damage done. But it is possible that your side gets defeated, even if you do not attack your own people - just standing still and doing nothing resulted in myself being the only fighter left on the battlefield and facing about 25 enemies. Still, even if the floating eye fighting for your side gets killed, the battle is only lost when you are dead.

I was under the impression you actually only needed to kill on of the Sentinel Stalk - you can blast your way around killing the northern one with a powder keg.

But you're right - that's at least 3, and maybe 4 enemies that are necessary, plus however many to tip the balance on the battle field.

You can blast through, but all the time there are enemies that might notice you.
