Is there any other purpose/use for the Engagement Ring you get as a (possible) reward for the Missing Magpie quest other than just selling it?

Not sayin' I want to make a try for say ... Lilith or anything, but ... well, some women tend to like sparkly things. Just sayin'.

I too kept the ring, and even tried to show it to Magpie, just to convince her that the sitting patron wasn't too bad after all. She wouldn't see it though. My second playthrough I sold it immediately as I figured it wouldn't do much for me later.

I sold it right to the tavern owner (I assume), right in front of the guys nose. I believe it's counted as a 'special' item quality, so that goes to tavern owners if it's tradable at all.

I'm pretty sure I tried exactly her, and she did the whole "I'm not interested in that particular item..." thing.

But, yeah - Magicks dealers who traffic in rings will buy it...
(...Which is a long-time minor complaint of mine: Magicks dealers should only buy magic rings, while Innkeepers (and the like) should be the only ones who should be willing to buy non-magic (i.e. "valuable") rings!! But I think I've been whining about this little thing since Book I... )
