respository, killed monster, now gate closed

Post by Sandtiger »

When I went thru the first time I killed the monster, later returning with Pendent 13 gate is locked.
so I'm stuck missing the critical key for game completion? do I have to restart or is there another option?

Thanks

Delete the map file. It will be put everything back as it was.

Yes, the issue with the repository being permanently closed if you kill the guardian is definitely a serious bug. Look for a fix in the first point release.

First, save your game on a different map. Note which slot you're saving to - quick save is 1, the next is 2 and so on, until the last is 20. At the game's main menu, click on the version number text at the bottom of the screen, which will tell you where your games are being saved. Go there and into the slotXX directory that corresponds to where you saved. Delete the moonrise_underground.ent and moonrise_underground.map files.

Thank You,

What happened the first time around I noticed he didn't immediately attack me so I went up to the jar and took the Yama berries, he attacked me then....lol and I had to figure out a way to kill him which was a bit difficult but possible, my mistake.

I had a 3 level earlier test save and worked back up to the monster correctly before you had offered the map fixing information so no harm done.
