Any one play this game? I played it years ago and remember liking it, but couldnt really remember that much about it...
Haven't played too much yet, but I think its a great example of an old school RPG, very similar t the ultima's.
The graphics are pretty old school, but if Gameplay and role play is your thing, seems like a pretty cool game. I especially like the way you can split up your party and how their are many different NPC's in each town you can talk with. Not to mention decent puzzles.

Can you give me instructions on how to use a program like DosBox to run these old games? Pretend you are explaining something to a child, because I can't for the life of me figure out emulators.
There are worlds out there where the sky is burning. And the sea's asleep and the rivers dream … People made of smoke and cities made of song … Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, somewhere else the tea's getting cold!

Im at work right now so don't have much time. However, its really pretty simple to use dosbox.
First get the windows version and install it from here:
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1
You launch it and then you have to "mount" dos box to the directory where your game resides.
For example
Game is located at:
C:\Classicgames\MagicCandle\
So I launch it this way in dosbox.
mount c: c:\classicgames\MagicCandle\
Then change to the C: drive, by doing a c:
Then the name of the executable is mcandle
so I type in MCANDLE
and thats about it. (It doesnt matter where you put the game as long as you mount it to that point it should work)
You can change the speed the game runs to make it faster by doing a cntl F8 and cntl F12. I do this with most games.
There is a -help option in dosbox that will give you other commands.
when you launch dosbox if you want the game to run full screen mode, just open it cmd line with the paramter of -fullscreen
Like this
Start\Run,
then type in "c:\dosbox\mcandle - fullscreen"
or something like that depending on where you installed dosbox.
Let me know if you have other questions and I will check back later.
I play alot of games from this website.

I virtually did it all in MC1, and then went rushing to do the needed quests only to find that some old fella in bed gives me an extra heap of days! In other words, I could have finished every quest. And this was with a bunch of layabouts making money, getting fitted for armour and memorising spells in Port Avur for weeks at the start
Then I find out about Methreal for sale in that Dwarf Village. Talk about a waste of time...
