Came here by way of the Watch. Was curious, but not being too much of a retro-gamer, didn't actually think I'd end up buying. Was more interested in seeing an indie succeed. That was before the demo. After playing the demo for only an hour or so, I was hooked. It's obviously a very solid game, but it also has an approach, design and style that just really, really appeal to me. Had to buy it. Best game purchase I've made in a long while.

I first saw the game mentioned over a year ago on the Blitz Research webpage. I have kept track of it since then. I can say it has greatly exceed my expectations. I played the first demo and was hooked. I bought the game download and CD the next day. I was still playing the demo and had to tear myself away to place the order.

I followed the development of Eschalon via updates on RPGWatch. When the demo came out I downloaded it and enjoyed the game but thought the demo was very small. I also thought $27.95 was kinda high for a shareware game from an unknown developer. I decided to keep an eye on the Watch and the forums here to make my final decision. After hearing the praises of the game for a few days, I purchased the full version and I have not been disappointed. I try to help anyone who comes into the forums in the hopes that they too will pay for the game and I might get an expansion or sequel. I know how hard it is for an indie developer to make any money off their hard work.

I stumbled upon a link to the demo over at 1up.com under their PC game demo section yesterday. I had never heard of it and was mostly just boredom browsing.
I was instantly hooked! Now just 2 hours into the game I have just bought the CD version (mostly for the digital world map).
Thanks Basilisk for a great game. I look forward to getting the next chapter.

I saw it on Filefront. Classic old-school RPG it said. I was downloading Quake Wars and decided to check this out. I had the first demo and played it. I liked it but wasn't quite convinced.
Then I saw the new expanded demo and played it all weekend. Great job guys! I'll be buying it tonight.
Definitely has the old Ultima appeal. Keep up the good work
