Disable smooth-scrolling text?

Is there anyway to speed up the scrolling of the text in the lower box (by disabling the smooth scrolling, and scroll by line of text for example)? It takes a lot of time to scroll up and down. It's not a big deal, and I'm not pushing for this to be high priority, but I would like to see a feature in the future that allows you to speed up the scroll rate.
