I am new to the game, and have built a healer. One thing I can't figure out how to do is bash chests/barrels that are locked. My daughter is playing a Magick User, and she can use a spell repeatedly to break open a chest. But the only spell that I start with is Flesh Boil, and that only affects living things.
I thought I'd use a cheap weapon. and just bash chests - if it breaks, I don't really care. But I don't see a "bash" button anywhere. If I do want to bash a chest with a weapon, how do I do it?

Its better if you put just one rank in unarmed, then bash with just your hands(using the shift key),since you will never receive damage once you have at least one rank in unarmed, while a weapon may break.
Furthermore, while spells allow you to bash something open and no one will take even a second glance at you, doing so with hands or weapon is considered a crime if you are seen/heard.

Thanks - that's what I decided to do. Sometimes it takes a while to bash in a chest with my fists, but since I am not suffering harm, I don't care.
