Best Attributes for Healer?

Post by mikepwagner »

I am playing with a healer - he's level 13 right now. I have been putting a point into Wisdom, Perception and Concentration every time I go up. He's go 36 in Wisdom, 37 in Perception, and 24 in Concentration. What attributes are most useful for a healer?

I seem to have also fund a painless (though sort of boring) way to go up levels. There is a golden statue of a goblin in the Goblin Citadel. Every time I touch it, it erupts in flame, sometimes I am encumbered, and I get three goblins to kill. They are pretty easy to kill with Sunder Flesh. So I go in another room and rest, and come back in and touch the statue again. Is there a limit to how many goblins the statue will produce?

No, Mike. As an Atheist, I can't be cursed (which is what the statue does when you touch it), so I've found it a good way of generating loot, goblins go with one or two hits and they can't hurt you.

At this point in the game, you've usually killed off most or all of the regular monsters; so the only enemies you get to fight are Tauraxes when you're ambushed resting. Good for levelling up (better than goblins), but they never drop bags. So this is a good alternative for money/loot generation. I generally get about one bag per round of goblins, and the contents of the bags are often not too bad.

OK. Several levels ago, they ceased to be a challenge - my mana regenerates fast enough that if they follow me, I can kill them as I walk around.

I have noticed that every once in a while I am so encumbered that I can't move when I touch the statue. Other than that nothing happens to me. Is that the result of being cursed?

I have gotten an occasional nice thing from the goblin bag.

I believe that is from being cursed: it weakens you so you become incapable of carrying your current inventory, Mike. But if you've got well developed magickal skills, you should be able to dehex yourself, or what ever it needs.
