Regen Rates?

Post by Nepharis »

Mana regeneration rate seems to be capped at one point per three turns, no? (Currently getting it with 35 perception, 7 meditation, though I think I had the same regen at 30 perception, 5 meditation.) If so, kind of disappointing... almost makes meditation of more than ~5 worthless. Am I right, or have people gotten higher regen rate?

While on the topic, what's the fasted health regen people have seen? I've gotten one hit point per 25 turns with 30 endurance, 5 survival.

If I had to guess, I would say that every skill point of meditation was equally effective as 5 perception, and 1 survival worth 5 endurance. This would put the (hypothesized) regen cap at an equivalent of 50 perception or endurance. Thoughts?

I believe every point of Meditation is worth 1 point of Perception, and a combined total of 38 gets you the highest regen rate (3/1, or 1/1 if a druid and outdoors).

Since magic users want to raise Perception really high anyway, Meditation is an atrociously worthless skill.

I suppose the only use of meditation then is if you wanted to put those points into the physical attributes rather then perception, and using the mana pool for buffing rather than as the primary means of combat. Meditation would then allow your small mana pool to regen between buffing castings.
