Request for in-game gamma adjust option

Even with torches, the underground and night-time parts of the game are way too dark. I've been adjusting the brightness on my monitor to compensate, but then if I forget to adjust it back after quitting the game, I end up with sore eyes. Is there any chance of getting an in-game gamma adjust option?
