We are hoping to have rain, thunderstorms, and snow in Book II. We haven't yet put that in the engine however, so until it is up and running, I can't promise anything.

While we're at it, would it cost much effort to change sunbeams to moonbeams while in dungeon ? In some places, you can see the sun shine through some window, for example in Tangletree Ossuary. I'm pretty sure it does even during a night. It would be very pointless, yet very nice, if such beams changed to sun/moon depending on hod does it actually look outside :-).

Right away in seeing the weather effects talked about in that interview and talking about related limits etc. I knew this should be added, you probably already thought of this but a long duration in rainy weather (especially rainy nights), say about 50 turns or so, should lower disease resistance, unless you have an umbrella or a raincoat of course :)

This brings up another thought, perhaps an umbrella could be like the lantern as a shield item, or possibly also as a weapon item, so you can hold both an umbrella and a torch at the same time.

This suddenly brings up the thought of flooding! Heavy rains and thunderstorms could perhaps cause rivers to overrun and create streams too deep to cross and the player would have to wait through 1 day of dry weather for the waters to become crossable again. Of course this could happen to the players benefit as well, some monster steps into the shallow stream and soon the water becomes too deep and he drowns. Perhaps even the player could drown or maybe get washed downstream.

Rain, almost literally, adds a whole new element to the game, maybe!

Speaking of weather effects, will we see a slow change in the weather as we progress through a region to another region. For example you are in a rainy region headed for the arctic region, will the weather slowly change from rain to sleet to snow?

It would be kind of jarring if the weather goes from rain to heavy snow all at once.
