Ironman and The Incredible Hulk

Post by realmzmaster »

I just saw both Ironman and the Incredible Hulk with my wife (we are both Marvelites from way back) and daughter. I thought both movies were very good and entertaining. The stories had to be updated a bit, but it was done in a very credible way.

I like the way both films incorporated Stan Lee. The Incredible Hulk made nods to the original TV series. It was also way better than the 2003 Hulk movie (waste of good film). The acting was good and the pace of the films were spot on.

No, I am not giving away the plots. Go see the movies and take a significant other with you or take the family (but it maybe too intense for the younger set).

I recommend them to any one who likes a good movie and especially to all Marvelites.

What does the group think about the movies?

Nuff said, Pilgrim

P.S I like DC also. I am waiting for the release of the Dark Knight! I may go see Hancock.

I will be taking my daughter to see Kung Fu Panda and Wall-e. ( My daughter is an college art student studying animation! She wanted to check out the CGI in Ironman and the Incredible Hulk!)

I really enjoyed Iron Man. I haven't seen Incredible Hulk solely based on how much I disliked the first one; I may wait and NetFlix that one.

The new Batman film looks like it is going to be great. Have we ever had a summer packed with so many superhero movies?

The Incredible Hulk (2008) is better than Hulk (2003). Not as excellent as Iron Man, but very good. I cannot wait to see the Dark Knight. I want to see Heath Ledger take on the Joker.

I liked Jack Nicholson's Joker in the first Batman, but Ledger's looks like it will be on a whole different level.

Bale's Batman is the best of the lot. I also like Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as James Gordon and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.

If you like animated films, "Kung Fu Panda" is worth seeing!

Wall-E is an excellent movie. The movie is fun and thought-provoking. It is a sad (but sad in a entertaining and funny way) and hopeful commentary on the human condition.

Edit: Corrected spelling of commentary

My friend saw Wall-E opening night and said it was spectacular. I don't know if I will catch this in the theater, but it'll be a automatic DVD purchase for me.

if anyone enjoys Eschalon, they should go rent a new movie from this year:

Beowulf

A fair warning though, I don't think this is PG-13..
