Charm FAILED!

Earlier I posted a thing about trying to get the charm spell. Well I did and I had to waste at least 3 levels and a lot of money to get my divination skill to 20 in order to charm Erubor back to my side.

But when I tried Charm at level 6, it didn't work! It said: The target seemed unaffected by the spell. And I waited. And waited. Pressed space a bunch of times. I even camped for 62 hours by the stairs. But it didn't work! Can you cast it at a higher level or am I just totally screwed? Cause if I don't talk to Erubor I guess I can still finish the game but that puts a major crimp in the storyline, experience, and inconvenience.

Just curious: what do you have to do to piss off Erubor? Because I've robbed Shadowmirk blind and even killed Walter (didn't particularly want to, but the little -bleep- wouldn't get out of my way!), and Erubor doesn't seem to notice or care. Did you leave witnesses to your "crimes"? Or what?

Anyway, he's probably such a high level mage that he's immune to charming. Best just to move on, unless someone knows of a cheat to change a hostile attitude.

I made the mistake of attacking him . Just to see what it was like. But then I accidentally pressed the quicksave button...
