Missing conversation options from Lilith and caretaker?

Hi Folks,
I have been reading that I should be able to get quests from both the cemetery caretaker (to clean out his cellar) and from Lilith (to kill the hive queen). I haven't been able to get either of these options. I have the strange amulet for talking to Lilith (I just stole the caretaker's key for the cemetery dungeon). What am I missing?

If you talk to the caretaker about the key, but refuse to pay him for it, he offers you the basement quest as an alternative. I don't know if this happens after you've already stolen the key, but I wouldn't be surprised. The opposite order works, ie. you can do the quest, get the key and then steal the key!
Did you have the amulet when you met Lilith? If so (and I'm assuming you read the sealed note that you got in Aridell), she would have offered to tell you what it was only on the condition that you bring her the stinger of the hive queen.

The caretaker never offered anything with regard to a quest, even after I rifled his basement. There is only one option available "Can you tell me more about Eversleep Cemetery?"

Yes, I had the amulet when I went to Lilith, at least I think so. It's called the strange amulet, right? She didn't offer me anything in the way of a quest at all.

Ah, that explains it.

You get the original Eversleep cemetery quest from Maddox in Aridell - you then need to read the 2nd sealed note that you get from him to get that quest.

With the Eversleep quest, you can probably get the cemetery caretaker to give you his cellar quest.

The Lilith quest isn't activated until you get your amulet from Eversleep cemetery. But it's likely that that quest doesn't get activated without reading the 2nd sealed note either.

Bottom line: If you haven't already, get the 2nd sealed note from Maddox in Aridell, and read it!

You are right! I am a total idiot. I forgot to take the second sealed note from the chest in Maddox' house. Thanks for the info!
