NWN2: Storm of Zehir

Post by tungprc »

This game looks pretty promising. I like the idea of the Overland map and it's about time we got another game with full-party customization. I've just installed it, so I'll give my impressions in a day or so.

Just bought it and played about 2 hours so far.

It's a vast improvement already over any NWN or NWN2 game released so far. The combat is hard and forces you to use strategy to win, in the beginning I died quite a few times, or at least my mage did. :)

Probably the biggest plus so far is this game really makes skills usefull including in dialog....

I love overland maps that allow open exploration, this being said Im not thrilled with the scale of the map though, it feels too zoomed in and makes the world feel a bit small, but that being said Im just happy that the game has one, its a huge plus just having one that allows open exploration.

The writing seems very good so far as well.

The Cities and dungeons seems a bit small, but well done.

The game starts you at level 4, i never really like not starting at level 1, just don't get the feel I really built the characters that way but at least its not a high level beginning adventure.

Also glad to see the great traveler Volo have a part in the game!

Will post more impressions as I play more.

I picked up NWN2, along with MoB - how much does this expansion run? Can it be digitally purchased, or CD only?
