Washed my cell phone

Post by BasiliskWrangler »

My cell phone was run through the washer today. It is no more. Not sure when I am going to be able to get out to replace it. Why does this kind of thing always happen around the holidays??? :)

Oh man that's really crappy. When are they going to invent water proof phones or do they already have them?

Well anyway, Merry Christmas!

hahaha! don't mean to laugh at your misfortune BW, just that i did the same thing last month!!!! i agree with saxon---would it be so hard to make waterproof phones?!?! well, then they wouldn't get replaced so often, so manufacturers wouldn't like that!!1

now you can get that droid!!

Hmm, perhaps. I kind of wanted to hold off until Google had their Android phone ready.

Meh.. Google's phone is gonna have that damn trackball... not a fan. Someone really needs to get the "pointing device" right.

A friend of mine had a similar misfortune: he was walking at the swimming pool's border (we were in a graduation trip) with the phone in his hand. He slipped, fell, and the phone went straight to the pool. He had to buy a new one.

Hey, how is that Eris working for you? My biggest reason for avoiding it was the trackball, but the "arrow keys" on the standard Droid aren't exactly wonderful. The keyboard isn't the greatest either, but it's nice having it as a backup.

I love my regular Droid, but I'm finding it to be a pain in the ass to keep clean... and the cover I got to protect it is totally going to get tossed when I get the gps-style car mount... leading to some issues with the battery cover. 0_o

Oh well, that's what happens when you get v1.0 hardware.

I like it a whole lot. But, my previous phone was a bare-bones freebie and so anything else seems like a device from "Star Trek".

I don't use the trackball at all. Seems like the touch screen is accurate and sensitive enough to handle all the input, so the trackball is pretty much unused. I would say the phone doesn't even need it.

But yeah, the Droid is waaaaay awesome. I am a true Droid-head now.

Nah, you won't be a true Droid-head until you root the phone. 0_o

Is this the time of year you typically do laundry! ;)

Sorry, I found it too hard to resist.
