I went to town, dude got shot in the head by assassin. Now what? I've run around seemingly half the map, into port town etc. No idea where the quest picks up.

If you looted Darus' body there were two items on it. When you have those items in inventory and talk to people you get extra dialog options that will help you find out what to do.

Or you could get really lucky and find the place by accident, but you still will need the items to continue.

ok holy shit. I'm not a bad gamer and I totally missed that. I think its because there is a dialouge when the body is on the ground and I didn't notice the bag until I just went back. Even after he died I talked to the bar owner and he was basically like "great someone died, now leave me alone".

I am talking to minus and he says go talk to the dude in port town. I think I ended the chat and now my quest book hasn't updated with anything to go talk to the guy in port town, I don't have the orb anymore, and talking to minus doesn't have any options anymore.

when you found the spyglass, you should have gotten some options to ask people around Eastwillow about it.

once you talk to that person, you get sent to Minus, and then to Port Kuudad.

of course, what happens next presumes you haven't slaughtered half of the populace of Kuudad.

You do have to have the viewing glass in inventory to get the dialog options. I left it behind once to save weight and had to go back for it.

I have the same problem. I have the glass and I did talk to Minus but I have no option with Saint Gilhelm. What I did wrong?
Note: I play under linux through wine and I have tried v1.02 as well.

I have just realized that I didn't take 3 part of glass quest...
And there is no more option with Minus ;(
Now, I guess, I need to replay. See You latter
