Question about main storyline(early in game) [SPOILER]
Question about main storyline(early in game) [SPOILER]
After I got the Strange Viewing Glass and Soulpiercer from Darus'es body, i figured that I must go to the Minus who lives by the lake, because he knows about strange stuff so much.
He tells me that some guy from Port Kuudad must know more about Strange Viewing Glass and then I get two options in dialog: something (i don't remember clearly) after what he says that he will send a message to this fella in Port Kuudad(and after that i have quest added to my journal).
But I decided to reload and chose the second option in dialog - askin' Minus not to tell anybody about this Strange Viewing Glass. After that no quest was added to the journal. I kept playing for some time and erased early savegames, so I can't go back now. Now I'm standing before closed gates of Port Kuudad having ONE quest in my journal, the one regarding Soulpiercer that killed Darus(if you find man that made that arrow, you'll find killer). It's just don't seems right not having a major quest that tells me where to go next.
Question is - is everything as it should be or it is a bug?
Excuse my English. Thanks

Re: Question about main storyline(early in game) [SPOILER]
This game allows you to still continue without the hints of following the quest path. It's harder because without the hints you don't know where to go. As long as you have the viewing glass you can complete the game.
Actually I don't know if anyone has tried it, but you might be able to finish the game without the strange viewing glass if you still do the right thing at the end.

Thank you, Randomizer.
I got all that freedom of choice principle, but my question remains:
I started game over just to run to the Minus again and replay the situation - with my previous choice i don't get "Destiny through a Viewing Glass pt.3" quest. Is it a normal thing?
I just need to know it, sorry

I didn't try it, but now that the question has come up, perhaps someone of the testers can try it and see what happens, particularly as they already know who to go to and where to go to after that!Randomizer wrote:This game allows you to still continue without the hints of following the quest path. this is exactly where I'm stuck, however I already talked to dude in port town and he tells me to go away. I dont have ANY quest related to the viewing glass. No idea what to do... kinda lame I can't go apologize and get back on the quest track.

Head to Port Kuudad. Speak with the old man in the library.
If he doesn't set you on the right path, email me and I'll help you out.

Re: Question about main storyline(early in game) [SPOILER]
yes, talked to him once before starting all this ( in another thread I stated how I got into the port town prior to even picking up anything from darius' body ).
Then I talked to minus and went and saw the old dude again - still two options "go away and go away".
It may be because I'm illegal in the town? I got in the front door without paying by fire darting the lever and running past then hiding ( lol ). So, every once in awhile guards attack and certain key town members attack. half of the town merchants are dead.
I thought I would be able to run in and "blend in". There should be a way to stop aggro...
Anyway is my guess right? So i'm trying to find one of those citizen papers....

Alright, do this....leave Port Kuudad and head north, to the next map. Once you are there, look at ("use") your Viewing Glass.yodabomb wrote:yes, talked to him once before starting all this ( in another thread I stated how I got into the port town prior to even picking up anything from darius' body ).

Re: Question about main storyline(early in game) [SPOILER]

Re: Question about main storyline(early in game) [SPOILER]
Once you triggered the gate illegally and guards came after you, you're a marked man. Regardless of citizenship. Getting your papers won't reset the crime settings (which can be triggered by other things if you did get into the town okay - such as stealing stuff or picking locks in someone's view). Kind of like how if I break into a bank, producing my driver's license won't keep me out of jail.

I get i was * baaaddd * and pushed a lever to get into town, but I also could argue I disappeared into a crowd. What if i change clothes? etc.

Hint: You might try 'charming' your way out of the situation...yodabomb wrote:I get i was * baaaddd * and pushed a lever to get into town, but I also could argue I disappeared into a crowd. What if i change clothes? etc.
