How do I get out of Hammerlorne Mines

I seem to be stuck. I've got the crux but on my way out there was a horn, and the gate closed. I can't find a way out... help?

Where you fought the dwarves and the gate, look around, there's a lever near by.

Same thing happened to me. The lever is north of the gate, in the tunnel/cavern area. It's not obvious (until you find it and then it's a forehead slapper).

Found it. Thanks! It was hidden in shadows and I didn't see it. Sigh.

I never would have found that on my own. I was refusing to use any kind of light, just predator's sight, to give me a fighting advantage, and you just don't see tat lever in the dark. I reloaded that part of the game 3-4 times before I gave up and came here looking for a clue.
