Did anyone play the game with focus being on Thrown weapons and some melee weapon for support?
I played before with focus on Bows and unarmed as support. But thinking about trying thrown weapons.
Anyone played with focus on Thrown Weapons?

Re: Anyone played with focus on Thrown Weapons?
There are three problems with thrown weapons:
1 - They weigh a lot and especially the more damaging ones.
2 - There aren't as many available in the game if you want them for a primary weapon.
3 - The volley feat isn't as great since it involves separate chances to hit each target and the targets need to be adjacent to the main one.
The damage is decent if you concentrate on the skill, strength, and dexterity. I could get 20 points of damage with a stone with 40 strength and 40 dexterity, and only 10 thrown weapons.

Re: Any play with focus on Thrown Weapons?
I've used thrown weapons as support (to soften up approaching creatures and such), but the feat is weak, the weapons are expensive and heavy, so it's a bad choice as a primary attack. But, if you try it and find a way to make it work that would be really interesting to hear about.

well, maybe I should just move it as secondary skill.
