Farrock Cave
Farrock Cave
I'm on level one and have found what appears to be a weak spot on a southern rock wall. I have used 3 kegs on it to no effect. Is there some other method of proceeding? I did come across a gate that is closed with no apparant way to open it.
Re: Farrock Cave
If you really had the keg right next to the wall, it would only take one to destroy the wall, if it's destroyable. Maybe post a screenshot of the one you're looking at? Not all rocks with cracks can be destroyed - in Farrock, there are only two which are destructible.

The original version of Book II has only Level 1 accessible in the Farrock Caves. The gate you mentioned can be opened if you come at it from a different direction.
Regarding the weak looking section of wall - you can generally tell by looking at the minimap if there is something that dynamite kegs can help you access.
There are quite a few surprises in the caves if you search around enough......

Yeah, I found a bunch of spots where there were hidden gems. But there looks like a passage leading off from behind the weakened area. I thought maybe it was the way to come at the gate from a different direction.

You mean the weakened area near the eastern exit from the caves? It will blow if you put the keg in the right spot, which is a place that looks like you can't put anything there. It has to be right in the notch.
For the gate, you have to get to the caves by heading east and north of Eastwillow.
