Weapons style question.

I'm wondering if different weapons have different dmg effects.

Will blunt wpns be more effective vs. certain creatures than swords?
Trying to decide on where to put skill points. Thnx

Both Blunt and Swords are melee weapons, so they share common attribute bonuses though Blunt weapons favor Strength and Swords favor Dexterity. Blunt weapons are awesome for bashing objects open, while swords have a bit more variety in the game and may be a better choice if you possess alternate skills for opening locked objects.
