Top 5 Ahnuld Films

Post by sirdilznik »

So I was watching End of Days the other day. Yeah I know that movie sucked, but it got me to thinking about Arnold Schwarzenneger movies and how many of his flicks I've enjoyed the hell out of (answer: the vast majority). So I've decided to compile my Top 5 Ahnuld Movies:

1) Total Recall - The ultimate Ahnuld Sci-Fi flick. Not only does this movie contain great action, and a wonderfully contrived plot which keeps you guessing as to what is real and what is not up until the end and beyond, but you also get some nice one-liners, and naked young Sharon Stone boobies. Also there is a mutant prostitute with three boobs. It's a win, win, win situation.

2) True Lies - Ahnuld's last great film was also one of his very best. True Lies not only has Tom Arnold in it, but features him prominently and STILL manages to be totally awesome. It deserves a Congressional Medal of Honor for that alone. This movie has some of the greatest, most kickass, action and simultaneously manages to be Ahnuld's funniest movie. All that plus Jamie Lee Curtis looking SMOKIN' HOT doing a strip tease, and an underrated but hilarious performance from Bill Paxton.

3) Terminator 2: Judgement Day - It's very rare that a sequel manages to be as good as the original and even more rare that it exceeds the original, yet here it is. T2 equals or trumps the original in every single category and is the most awesome, adrenaline pumping Ahnuld flick of all-time. Ahnuld being ridiculously badass and kicking major ass, the T-1000 being beyond badass and killing suckers in the awesomest of ways. Seriously sick fights between the two terminators. If I was basing this solely on action this movie would win hands down. No question about it.

4) Predator - At the time this flick came out the special effects were SPECTACULAR. What's more the whole movie is all types of fun with great action, one-liners - "Get to the choppa!", and Jesse "The Body" Ventura - "I ain't got time to bleed". At the time it came out the movie was just so unique and advanced that it crushed the competition.

5) Conan The Barbarian - Ahnuld's first big movie. Certainly not his best acting performance but regardless the movie was a great tale of loss, gain, sacrifice, and retribution. Also this was the major motion picture that had Ahnuld at his most muscular.

Where's Hercules in New York on your list?

Seriously, though: the only one I can agree with is Conan the Barbarian. Other than that, I really don't like the movies Schwarzenegger has been in.
Certainty: a character-driven, literary, turn-based mini-CRPG in which Vasek, legendary "Wandering Philosopher", seeks certainties in a cryptically insular, organic, critically layered city.
