killing stone golum?

i have run into a problem! i need to kill the stone golum to retrieve the small candecium crystal so i can open the gate. i have tried everything to kill him but cannot even come close no matter what i do. any ideas.

What type of character do you have?
If you have the potions and/or spells then haste and increase damage are a must.

For fighters closing to melee will stop it from regenerating. Otherwise attack and retreat when the stone golem gets too close. Eventually you will wear it down. You will use up lots of mana or weapon feats.

Another thing is to retrieve kegs of black powder and place them in the corridor so you can detonate them as the golem gets near.

I've never tried it, but I think you can just block it in a corner with powder kegs and shoot at it with spells/weapons until you hurt it adequately enough to finish it off with the kegs blocking it.

If you aren't using kegs much, speed potions are a must, as well as mana and fortify potions for mages, and invisibility potions for melee. If you don't have a ton of potions with you, you weren't prepared for fathamurk.

The powder keg method is probably the easiest way to kill the stone golem. While it requires a bit of running back & forth to get it set up, after you get it set up, it's simply a matter of drawing the golem to the kegs, blowing up a set, and getting it to come to the next set.

Plus, you do get the bonus of blowing up stuff real good.
