Nazghul is an open source roguelike CRPG.
It's an engine for creating your own games, and Haxima is a game made with it.
It looks like ultima IV, and the system is good. If you're into old school games, it's for you ! I've liked what I've played so far.

Nazghul / Haxima
Re: Nazghul / Haxima
Definitely not a Roguelike, in my mind.
It plays very much like Ultima IV or V, though. It seems interesting... wonder if the team will ever create at least a basic editor for it (everything's scripted with Scheme).

I went to the screenshot page and found this. I think it answers your question...b0rsuk wrote:Just curious... what makes it a roguelike game ?
Haxima is using a combination of the enhanced u4 , theAngband graphic tilesets, and custom art added by the dev team.

Just using a tileset from *band makes something a Roguelike? Odd.Dragonlady wrote:I went to the screenshot page and found this. I think it answers your question...b0rsuk wrote:Just curious... what makes it a roguelike game ?
