Yes...we talked about it and due to potential problems with constant rewriting the same folder it is possible for the content to get corrupted I believe...and by the time we had that conversation it would have been hard to implement a fix with the engine involved...
That makes absolutely no sense ...

Re: Finding Book II harder then book I
It takes some experimentation, but trust me- every one of our beta testers, no matter how hard they found the game initially, were masters of the game by the time they finished their second play through.

And by the way, food does impact your Endurance. Not sure about other stats.
How so? Do different foods do different things? If so, then eating could theoretically have a purpose in the game, but it would be nice if the player had some indication of what foods will do what.

My only concern is that I'm running out of food. The game is running out of food probably because I am spending so much game time exploring, bashing, repairing and resting. I just may starve to death

Re: How much play time will Book II have?
There are several side-quests that you will come across that you'll have very little hope in completing with the character you'll likely have at that time. You're going to have to learn when to back out of a difficult quest and return to it when you are bigger and badder. This will be the main way ...

For these large white-out snow areas will the player be challenged with trying to survive while crossing them? I think making it a challenge to reach a settlement in the arctic regions would be very cool.

Re: How Are You Going To Play Book II?
I don't go into any RPG, even one that's a sequel, with a set idea of what kind of character I want. I don't ever know that until I've mucked around with the new system to find out which kind works the way I'd like it to. Some games I like wizards; some games rangers, warriors, etc. But I never know ...

From the designer's point of view, a manual gamesave feature can cover a multitude of sins.

Re: Weapons in Book II - and a suggestion
Some RPGs have gotten it right, by limiting the amount of XP you gain as you repeat tasks over and over. So, if you think you can become a master of the War Maul by smashing barrels, think again: each hit brings less-and-less experience to you and eventually you gain no more experience from ...

In terms of how they are USED, picks and daggers could not possibly be more different.
Picks were swung much like hammers (and they very often had a hammer on the opposite side of the head.)

8. How have you changed combat to make it a bit more strategic?
We have added a few options which increase the tactical aspect of combat. For starters, there is now a "Combat Mode" selector that switches between four styles: Normal, Power, Finesse, and Parry. For example, selecting Power mode ...
