I've tried making changes with hex editor and after I've reloaded my game, all the items in inventory and armor on my character were in different slots than before editing. It was fun to see sandals in hands or knife in the head.

Add both. This way people are more likely to buy the game. There are still tons of things to do. Killing guards in Blackwater. Sweet!

I had a 10% chance and picked the lock on my first try. Not bad.

I believe this will be fixed in next patch and you won't be able to sell quest items. In the meantime the only way to get it back is by editing a savefile.
