We’ve had quite a few people asking about a holiday sale, and so here it is!
Starting this Wednesday (November 23) our games will be 50% off for the remainder of the year! That’s right, not for a day or a week, but until 2012 you can get our games at 50% off our normal posted price. Likewise, many of our distributors will be running sales of their own, so shop around!
One small issue, however, is that we have sold out of Book II DVDs. We will be getting more in, but they may not arrive until after the first of the year according to our supplier. However, we’ll be sure to run a sale specifically on DVDs when we get more in.
What’s happening with Book III you ask? It’s still cooking. We’re working with some great artists and writers to create a game that will be worth this torturous wait, but we’re not ready to share anything yet. Have patience, dear friends!

Sweet! This makes my Christmas shopping SO easy. I’ve got some dipshit friends who don’t understand how cool indie games are (specifically Eschalon!!) and this will allow me to buy copies for them. Is there any way i can preorder a couple DVDs at the sale price?

@Beemer: I don’t know. They have all the files and legal agreements in place. You may want to email them and ask when the games will be available.

Actually, we did find a few dozen additional DVDs packed in file a cabinet, so we are going to ship them until they are gone. We’ll let everyone know this in a few hours when we officially announce that the sale is on (while secretly, the sale has already begun! Shhhh!)

Update to my post above….the DVDs we found were defects. Can’t ship them. So, we are officially out for a while, though a couple people have already ordered a disc at the sale price and we will honor those by sending discs from our own supply (literally sending discs from my own personal stash). We will get more in after the holidays and then we’ll have an awesome sale!

Why do you have different price between Steam, Desura, Plimus, and Bmtmicro?

@Hami – Different distributors run different sales at different times, and each has different discount levels they offer. Our regular prices have always been a few dollars more than our distributors since our games are fully DRM free and we pay for a lot for the extra bandwidth. However, after the 1st our prices will be the same as all our distributors: $19.95 for Book II, $14.95 for Book I.
